Human authority
HANKO
Every decision.
Signed and sealed.
HANKO is the human authority behind SenshiOS and SenshiEdge. Every order an officer authorizes is signed, chained and sealed with the evidence behind it. Anyone can verify the record. No one can alter it unseen.
Authority
Keep assessment and authorization separate.
Decision-support software can draw attention to information and explain an assessment. HANKO gives authorization a distinct human workflow, with permissions associated with the authority seat and a record of both approvals and refusals.
Human authorization
A responsible human makes the authorization decision.
Evidence-linked record
Record the decision together with the evidence on which it rested.
Reviewable history
Retain approvals and refusals as part of the decision history.
Accountability
Make the record checkable.
The demonstrated record is signed and can be checked offline with a public-key verifier. Internal software tests cover verification of an unchanged record and detection of deliberately altered records, making the decision history available for inspection.
Development status
Carry accountability into field validation.
HANKO has been demonstrated on the Xenos OS image and in the simulated aircraft workflow. Hardware-backed keys, stronger person-to-seat binding, field integration and accreditation work remain roadmap items.
A closer look
Questions and answers.
Is HANKO a separate product?
HANKO is the shared human-authority layer at the core of SenshiOS and SenshiEdge, rather than one of the four product families.
Can an AI explanation authorize an action?
No. Assessment and explanation belong to decision support; authorization is a separate human action under HANKO.
What comes next for HANKO?
The roadmap includes hardware-backed keys, stronger person-to-seat binding and field integration. External accreditation is also planned.
